Emily is Cal and Zoe's precocious 16-year old daughter who splits her time between her two parents' homes. Lightman is protective of Emily, though she sometimes becomes exposed to the Lightman Group's cases. She knows some of her dad's techniques for reading people, and can often read what her dad is really feeling.

Hayley McFarland began her career at a young age doing commercials and a small independent film. Her film credits include "Winged Creatures" opposite Forest Whitaker and "An American Crime" with Catherine Keener and Ellen Page. She has also appeared on television in "Gilmore Girls," "ER," "Criminal Minds," "Pushing Daisies," "24" and "Without A Trace." Additionally, McFarland had a recurring role on "United States of Tara."

When not working or volunteering, McFarland enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends and going to the movies. She also volunteers her time at the Burbank Animal Shelter. Aside from being a promising artist, she is also an avid reader.

McFarland hails from Edmond, OK.
